Bridging the Gap Between Communities and Cuisines

Unity in the Kitchen is a signature culinary and community engagement initiative of Daddy Faces that explores the power of food to connect people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

One Kitchen. Diverse Flavors. Shared Experiences.

The initiative

Through interactive cooking workshops, culinary education, and cultural exploration, participants engage in meaningful experiences that encourage creativity, collaboration, and personal development.

Our approach combines practical culinary skills with opportunities to discover international food traditions, explore new ingredients, and appreciate the cultural significance of cuisine.

Designed for youth, families, organizations, and community partners, Unity in the Kitchen extends the Daddy Faces experience beyond traditional catering.

What the program is built on.

Culinary education

Practical cooking skills taught in a way that stays with people after they leave the room — no gatekeeping and no assumed knowledge.

Cultural exploration

International food traditions, new ingredients and the cultural significance of a dish, explored properly before it is cooked.

Shared experience

The meal at the end is not a bonus. People who cooked together sit down together, and the conversation usually outlasts the food.

Our programs

Designed for youth, families, organizations and community partners.

Programming is shaped with each partner community rather than dropped on it. If you want to host one, the first conversation is about who you already serve.

  • Community cooking workshops

Neighborhood groups cook a shared meal together, each session built around a different culinary tradition.

  • Youth and family sessions

Hands-on experiences that build practical skill and put families in the kitchen together.

  • Culinary demonstrations

Guided demonstrations paired with tasting, for larger groups and community programming.

  • Partner programming

Sessions designed with schools, faith communities and nonprofits that already serve their neighborhoods well.
